John's Blog
While the dictionary describes a blog as a ‘web log’ that contains a writer’s own experiences, observations and opinions that often have images—that doesn’t mean you can easily navigate your way through a blogs content.
I thought it might be a good idea to give you a road map as to what my blog contains.
The pictures and stories below are a blend of reflections on the journey Jesse and I shared in 1995 as we crossed Ontario, as well as my look back at my solo journey across Canada in 1998.
From the top, the first 32 stories are from 1995 and they are a look back at each day of our final month together on the road before we reached our destination—Ottawa. These were written to mark the 25th anniversary of the journey across Ontario.
Further down the page, the next 44 stories also came from my road journal. These postings were written to provide a look back at each week that I was on the road. These stories were written to mark the 20th anniversary of the journey across Canada.
There is at least one picture attached to each story, except for blog # 25 in the cross Canada journey. If you read the story, you’ll understand why there is no picture attached.
Thanks for stopping to look at my blog and I hope my ‘road map’ will help guide you.
