HONOURS & AWARDS
Along life’s road, as a father and son team, Jesse and I considered ourselves very fortunate to be the recipients of a number of unexpected honours, including the Order of Ontario.
We also had a rare opportunity the meet Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
And, as Jesse’s dad, I have been recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records for the fastest crossing of Canada on foot. That honour is not something I set out to achieve. I had a different goal in mind—making a difference for others.
I believe real leadership isn’t about awards. It’s about doing what’s right. And it’s about keeping your promise. Personally, as a volunteer, I’ve always appreciated it when someone just shakes your hand and says, ‘good job.’
